LSNO 2026 NOMINATIONS
It is time to begin nominations for School Nurse of the Year and School Nurse Coordinator/Supervisor/Lead Nurse of the Year to be awarded at our Professional Growth Seminar in April. In addition, we have Board positions open for for President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and NASN Director. There are many deserving candidates in our organization and we depend on YOU to make them known.
The deadline for nominations is March 22, 2026.
Nominating Procedure:
√ Only those members in good standing shall be allowed to place a name in nomination. Both nominee and nominator have to have dues paid to qualify.
√ Nominations and appropriate biological data shall be received from the membership no later than the date listed above. Any nominations received by e-mail
after the deadline will not be considered.
√ Qualifications required for nomination include:
- Must be an active or retired School Nurse AND also a member of LSNO in good standing to receive a nomination for ANY award.
- Must have been a School Nurse for a minimum of two years to receive a nomination for School Nurse of the Year or School Nurse Coordinator/Supervisor/Lead Nurse of the Year.
- Be clearly outstanding in the field of school nursing.
- Be the type of person whose life and contributions could inspire others to promote the health of school children.
- Membership on the Awards Committee shall not preclude anyone from nomination nor reception of any award for which they are qualified.
- In order to be nominated for a Board officer position, you must have served for two years on the LSNO Board or a standing committee.
- Nominees for a Board Officer will need the cooperation of his/her parish as the position does require courtesy time for meetings.
