  • In Memoriam: Robin Cogan, The Relentless School Nurse

    Chief Wellness Officer pin

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of  our colleague Robin Cogan on June 11.

Robin spent nearly 25 years as a school nurse in Camden, NJ. She built a platform, The Relentless School Nurse, to amplify her voice nationwide and fight hard for the causes she believed in. She worked tirelessly to end gun violence and was a passionate advocate against vaccine disinformation.

What set Robin apart was not only the depth of her advocacy, but how she showed up for the people around her. She was a mentor to school nurses who made herself genuinely accessible - the kind of leader who had time for everyone, whether you were a seasoned colleague or brand new to school nursing. Her leadership elevated the entire profession.

Above all this, Robin was devoted to her husband, daughters, and her precious granddaughter. We are deeply saddened for their loss and are holding her family close in our hearts.

In Robin's honor, a memorial donation will be made to Grandparents for Vaccines, an organization she proudly supported as both a "Bubbie" to Nora and a school nurse.

May her memory be a blessing - relentlessly.
