Advancement Awards
The Advancement Awards’ electronic submission form are open until October 15. Applications are subject to a “blind” review by the selection committee.
The Educational Advancement award improves school nursing by assisting registered nurses employed in schools to advance their education. Recipients receive a $1500 scholarship and a complimentary four-day registration to the NASN2012 Annual Conference in San Francisco. Applicants must have current and active membership status in NASN for at least the past two years, current employment as a school nurse, current RN license in the state of employment, and a Bachelor’s degree. The Advocacy Education award is to honor NASN’s founding president, Sally Williams, by providing financial support for a school nurse to participate in an advocacy education program. Recipient receive a $1500 scholarship and a complimentary four-day registration to the NASN2012 Annual Conference in San Francisco. Applicants must have current and active NASN membership status for the previous two years and current employment as a school nurse (RN) or a school nurse educator.
